Woman reported missing after failing to pick up child from babysitter; car found the following morning abandoned

Police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing Mesquite mother, last seen in Dallas Wednesday.

Prisma Denisse Peralta Reyes was reported missing at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after she failed to pick up her son from the babysitter.

According to Mesquite police, Reyes normally picks him up at about 7:30 p.m. after leaving work.

"That's a concern for us, anytime a mother doesn't pick her child up," said Lt. Stephen Biggs with Mesquite Police.

"I tried call her, I tried texting her, on Facebook, Snapchat, everything, but no answer," said Esmeralda Peralta, her sister.

The moments leading up to her disappearance are still unclear, but she was captured on surveillance video at Dallas apartment complex, Olympus at Ross, talking on the phone.

Police said the 26-year-old's 2017 Jeep Wrangler was discovered abandoned nearby in the 3500 block of Roseland Avenue in Dallas Thursday morning.

Multiple agencies searched the area Friday. Detectives walked around the building, even checking a nearby construction site. A Texas Game Warden combed the perimeter with his K9, but said the dog didn't pick up her scent. He said a bloodhound, walking the halls, didn't either.

"Right now we're following up on every lead possible. We don't have a person of interest per say, but we're trying to retrace her steps and see where she went and who she talked to," Lt. Biggs said.

Reyes is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red Polo shirt and blue jeans, according to the video obtained by police.
